Long Island singer advances on “The Voice”

Ava Nat Milone, a singer from Garden City, wowed the judges on NBC’s “The Voice” on Monday, Oct. 6.

The 18-year-old landed a spot on Niall Horan’s team with her performance of “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” by Gracie Adams in the show’s blind auditions. Horan beat out judges Reba McIntyre and Snoop Dogg for Milone, who also wanted her on their teams.

Milone, who goes by Ava Nat on the show, is a graduate of Garden City High School and a freshman at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., majoring in commercial music.
