Sweetbriar Nature Center announces a ‘Spooktacular’ evening event

Nature lovers ages 7 and up are invited to Sweetbriar Nature Center’s two-day ‘Spooktacular.’ 

The family friendly event takes place on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. as the center celebrates the Halloween season at its Smithtown location at 62 Eckernkamp Drive.  

Attendees will be treated to eerie live animal presentations, a ghostly graveyard, creepy games, scary music, and spooky night trails.

Admission is $20. In addition to coffee and treats provided by Sweetbriar, food trucks Box Car Burgers (on Oct. 17) and Krazy Knish (on Oct.18) will be selling refreshments.

Sweetbriar Nature Center is a nonprofit that provides natural science education services for Long Island residents of all ages and engages in native wildlife rehabilitation services. Through education and examples, Sweetbriar is situated on 54 acres of varied garden, woodland, field and wetland habitats on the Nissequogue River.
