Celebrity chef to keynote LI mentoring foundation’s annual summit
Connecticut-based celebrity chef, cookbook author and TV host Anna Francese Gass will serve as the keynote speaker of the 14th annual Emerald Summit, a yearly gathering event for the Moxxie Mentoring Foundation.
The event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30 at The Heritage Club at Bethpage State Park.
Gass has been featured on “Rachel Ray” and “Today” and is a regular guest on “Good Morning America” and “Access Hollywood.” In addition to her keynote speech, signed books will be available for attendees to purchase during the event, which supports the foundation’s work helping women through mentorship, professional development and community-building.
“I have seen very successful women who have had mentors – men and women – and they’ve really excelled in their careers,” says Beth Meixner, executive director at Moxxie Mentoring Foundation.“That’s the kind of opportunity the foundation aims to create for every woman in our programs.”
The organization will be honoring Meixner for her exemplary service. Meixner will be stepping down from her position as executive director at the end of this year, passing the reins to Jenna Natale, an alumna of Moxxie Mentoring programming and active member of the Long Island business community.
“The Emerald Summit has long been a place for professionals across Long Island to connect with likeminded individuals: people who believe in the power of mentorship and the critical role mentoring plays in the life of a woman embarking on her career journey,”says Natale, the current associate executive director at Moxxie Mentoring Foundation. “As a longtime attendee, it’s an event I’ve always looked forward to because of the authentic connections and the character of the people who attend.”
All proceeds from the event help support growing Moxxie Mentoring Foundation’s three core programs, which service women at all stages of the career lifecycle.
