‘Nick’s Marathon’ to stream live from Ronald McDonald House New York Metro
For the first time ever, Ronald McDonald House New York Metro (RMH NYM) will broadcast a live stream of Nick’s Marathon, an annual 48-hour video game fundraiser, Friday through Sunday, November 7, 8 and 9.
Founded by friends in memory of Nick Capobianco, who had a passion for gaming, the marathon funds the purchasing of gaming systems, accessories, and entertainment programs for children undergoing medical treatment.
“This event has always been about turning Nick’s love for gaming into something that brings people together and makes a difference,” said Alan Noah with Nick’s Marathon. “Streaming live from Ronald McDonald House this year makes that mission feel even more real — we’ll be surrounded by the families we’re helping, and every game we play will help bring a little more comfort, joy, and connection to kids who need it most.”
Past marathons have outfitted RMH NYM’s game room with Nintendo Switch consoles, an Xbox Series X, a PlayStation 5, and a robust library of games and accessories.
“Nick’s Marathon is a perfect example of how passion and purpose can come together to make a real difference,” said Matt Campo, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro. “Every dollar raised helps us create moments of joy and normalcy for children and parents who are going through some of the toughest times of their lives.”
