CIBS coat drive supports United Veterans Beacon House
The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS) recently announced the successful completion of its December Coat Drive, benefiting United Veterans Beacon House (UVBH), a Long Island–based nonprofit dedicated to providing housing and supportive services to veterans experiencing homelessness.
“Our members really stepped up to support veterans in our community,” said Stephen Cadorette, CIBS-LI Charitable Initiatives Committee co-chair and director of Corporate, Investment, and Development at Cushman & Wakefield. “United Veterans Beacon House does incredible work, and it was important for CIBS to help provide something as basic and essential as warmth, comfort, and dignity.”
The coat drive was organized by members of the society’s Charitable Initiatives Committee, bringing together CIBS members to collect winter coats and cold-weather essentials for veterans in need during the coldest months of the year.
“We are deeply grateful to CIBS and its members for their generosity,” said Frank Amalfitano, president and CEO of the United Veterans Beacon House. “Donations like these make a real difference for the veterans we serve and reinforce the message that they are not forgotten.”
