Westbury hosts free Summer Concert Series

The Village of Westbury is once again hosting its annual Summer Concert Series on Thursday evenings.

The free concerts are held at the Piazza Ernesto Strada on the corner of Post Avenue and Maple Avenue every Thursday at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. from July 17 through August 21.

The series, which is co-presented by the village and Westbury Arts, will feature a diverse array of musical performers and music genres, including pop/classic rock, Latin pop and jazz, Caribbean, hip-hop and R&B, and disco/funk/soul.

Performers include Nu Groove on July 17; Johnny Bliss on July 24; D Magma Band on July 31; L*A*W Lawrence Worrell on August 7; Soul Purpose on August 14; and Sabori the Salsa and Latin Jazz Band on August 21.

Limited seating will be available, so guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. In the event of rain, the shows will be held indoors at Westbury Arts at 255 Schenck Ave. in Westbury.
