Annual Long Island Insurance Community gala raises over $275,000
Over 300 guests attended the Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC) 29th Annual Gala at Oheka Castle in Huntington on Thursday, Sept. 18.
The event raised over $275,000 to benefit United Way of Long Island, Pop.Earth, Little Saint Nick Foundation, the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Greater New York Chapter.
The gala honors industry and business leaders whose commitment to the community has significantly improved the quality of life for their neighbors. This year’s honorees were Eric Nordquist, executive vice president and president of Small Commercial, Middle Market and National Property and Peter Wallick, vice president Select Accounts and Bi Field Sales, Distribution and Marketing, both from Travelers.
Travelers was this year’s presenting sponsor, with additional support from its local field office. The event’s platinum sponsor was Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, and gold sponsors included Hudson Valley Agency Alliance, and Risk Placement Services, as well as silver sponsors CNA, HUB International, Support Claim Services, and SterlingRisk.
Since 1995, the LIIC has contributed more than $7 million to local nonprofit organizations.
