Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island gets a boost from philanthropic partnership
The Banyan Tree Roots Foundation, a Long Island-based philanthropic organization, has recently made a transformative funding contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island (BBBSLI) that will help expand its programs and facilities.
”This partnership with the Banyan Tree Roots Foundation represents more than just a financial investment — it’s a shared commitment to building opportunity, confidence, and connection for our youth,” said Mark Cox, CEO of BBBSLI.
The funding led to the creation of a state-of-the-art digital content studio, the revitalization of the BBBSLI Family Room, and the development of a new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) lab. The financial support has also bolstered a wide variety of BBBSLI youth mentoring programs.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Banyan Tree Roots Foundation for their visionary partnership and belief in our mission,” said Meredith Michaels, CDO of BBBSLI. “This support not only enhances the spaces where we connect, create, and inspire but also deepens the impact of our mentoring relationships, helping young people gain skills, confidence, and a brighter outlook for the future.”
