‘Band Together for Good’ fills Amityville Music Hall for FCA fundraiser

Long Islanders packed the house at Amityville Music Hall for ‘Band Together for Good,’ a mini-music festival and fundraiser benefitting Family & Children’s Association (FCA) on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Amityville Music Hall in Amityville.

The first-ever event of its kind raised more than $4,000 to support FCA programs and featured live performances by four dynamic Long Island bands united by a common cause.

“More than ever before, people on Long Island are struggling. We’re going to do all we can to help make this holiday season special for people who need it,” said Jeffrey L. Reynolds, Ph.D., president and CEO of FCA. “There’s so much political divisiveness these days. To have people come together through music to help our communities and support our families is amazing.”

The event was organized by Farmingdale resident Tom LoFaso and his wife Susanne, who are the drummer and lead singer (respectively) in the band Generation Gap.

“Music is the center of everything our family does, and we thought it was the best way we could give back,” said Susanne LoFaso. “We’ve worked with FCA for many years, and it’s special to see the impact they have on our communities.”
