Uncle Giuseppe’s opening at Sayville Plaza in Bohemia

A new Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace will open in Bohemia on Friday.

The new 39,000-square-foot grocery store is opening in the Sayville Plaza shopping center at 5181 Sunrise Highway.

The Sayville Plaza store is Uncle Giuseppe’s 12th location including East Meadow, Massapequa, Melville, North Babylon, Port Jefferson, Port Washington, Smithtown, Yorktown Heights, Morris Plains, N.J., Ramsey, N.J. and Tinton Falls, N.J. The chain plans to open a new store in Greenvale and Levittown next year.

The Long Island-based Italian grocery market features a wide assortment of specialty departments, including a meat department with a selection of steaks, poultry, roasts, and Italian sausage made daily; a deli counter offering dozens of dishes prepared using traditional Italian recipes; a produce department with a large variety of domestic, imported, local, and organic fruits and vegetables; and a seafood department with live lobsters and freshly caught seafood. Uncle Giuseppe’s also includes departments dedicated to Italian baked goods, cheeses, candy and pasta.
