Levittown LEGO store to hold grand opening

Block Party, a store featuring LEGO sets and related items, will hold a grand opening celebration next month.

The store at 630 Wantagh Ave. in Levittown, which opened for business last month, will host the event from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 18.

The grand opening event will include LEGO building activities, face painting, a photo booth, a live DJ, a food truck and treats, as well as giveaways and prizes, according to a written statement.

The first 50 kids in attendance will receive a free LEGO mystery bag and attendees can enter a grand prize giveaway for the LEGO Stranger Things: The Creel House Set.

Block Party offers a wide selection of new, used, and retired LEGO sets. It’s designed to bring together LEGO fans of all ages with themed sections, unique sets, and community-focused experiences such as workshops, contests, and birthday party events, according to the statement.

“We’re excited to open our doors and bring the LEGO community together,” the Block Party team said. “Whether you’re a lifelong collector or just discovering the joy of building, we want Block Party to be a place where creativity and fun come together.”
