Preservation Long Island awarded $25,000 grant by the NYS Council on the Arts
Cold Spring Harbor-based architectural heritage foundation Preservation Long Island has received a grant award totaling $25,000 from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) to support the arts and culture sector, the organization announced this week.
“During these challenging times, the New York State Council on the Arts has been a stalwart and innovative funder,” said Erika Mallin, New York State Council on the Arts executive director. “These grants will serve artists and organizations in every region and county, fueling our economy and serving our communities.”
NYSCA has awarded $80.9 million in FY 2026 to arts and culture nonprofits across all 10 regions and a historic number of artists.
“We are delighted to be a recipient of a Support for Organizations grant from the New York State Council of the Arts,” said Jackie Powers, executive director of Preservation Long Island. “In 2026, we look forward to continuing our work to recognize and protect significant historic places and engage residents and visitors in our public programs that interpret and celebrate Long Island’s rich cultural and architectural history.”
