Italian Food Festival returns to Babylon Town Hall
Mangia on the Lawn, the Town of Babylon’s annual Italian Food Festival, returns on Saturday, May 17 from noon to 5 p.m.
The event, which celebrates Italian culture, cuisine and community, will be held on the Great Lawn at Town Hall in Lindenhurst and is open to all.
Hosted by Councilman Anthony Manetta and Town Clerk Gerry Compitello, the Italian Food Festival will feature nearly 20 food vendors serving authentic Italian fare, live performances from Maria Venuto, KTU’s Angelo Venuto, and Carmelo Raccuglia, as well as a DJ, family activities, and a classic car display from LaFamiglia Cadillac Club. Inside Town Hall, visitors can explore an Italian heritage exhibit curated for the event, according to a town statement.
Guests are encouraged to bring pasta or sauce donations to support the 6th Annual Pasta & Sauce Food Drive, helping feed local families in need.
“The Italian Food Festival is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our heritage, support our local businesses, and come together as a community,” Manetta said. “Bring the family, enjoy the food and music, and help make a difference at the same time.”
There will be additional parking at the Lindenhurst Train Station with free shuttle bus service available. Rain date is Sunday, May 18.
