Fundraiser at new Jersey Mike’s in Garden City Park

Customers at the new Jersey Mike’s opening in Garden City Park next week can help raise money for two local schools and get a free sub to boot.

The new restaurant at 2345 Jericho Turnpike, which opens Wednesday, Nov. 6, is circulating 8,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Mineola High School Booster Club and New Hyde Park Memorial PTSA through Nov. 10.

The Garden City Park sub shop is owned by franchisee Jim Denburg, who also owns Jersey Mike’s in Uniondale. This will be the chain’s 14th Long Island location.

Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $41 million for local charities and have distributed more than 2 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company’s 9th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $7.3 million for more than 200 charities throughout the country.
