Brentwood golf pro honored by Metropolitan PGA

The Metropolitan Professional Golfers Association recently named Doug Jansen, golf pro at the Brentwood Country Club, as the recipient of the association’s 2022 Merchandiser of the Year Award for public courses.

The award is designed to recognize those PGA professionals who have excelled as business persons/merchandisers in the promotion of golf.

“It’s truly an honor to be recognized by the Metropolitan PGA,” Jansen said in a written statement.

Jansen, who previously spent 13 years as the golf pro at Gull Haven Golf Course, had earned the same honor in 2002.

“It’s gratifying to receive this recognition again, 20 years later, at the Brentwood Country Club,” he said.
