Applications being accepted for affordable Yaphank condos
Sixteen condos at the Country Pointe Preserve in Yaphank are being offered at reduced prices through an ongoing lottery.
Through the lottery, run by the Long Island Housing Partnership, eight homebuyers that earn up to 80 percent of the area median income can be eligible to be selected to buy a new condo priced at $296,875. That means a household of two people earning up to $105,550 annually or a household of three people earning up to $118,750 are eligible for those homes. Single-person households or households for four or more people have other income limits.
Another eight condos are priced at $445,250 for households earning up to 120 percent of the area median income. That means a household of two people earning up to $158,300 annually or a household of three people earning up to $178,100 are eligible for those homes, according to LIHP. Single-person households or households for four or more people have other income limits.
Country Pointe Preserve, a Beechwood Organization development that is still under construction, has a total of 152 condos that consist of two-bedroom townhomes.
