Brokers group donates to Long Island Against Domestic Violence

CIBS W, the women’s group of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island (CIBS), announced a $2,300 donation to Long Island Against Domestic Violence (LIADV), made possible through funds raised at its recent Friendsgiving Happy Hour.

The donation reflects CIBS W’s continued commitment to supporting local organizations that provide critical resources and services to those in need across Long Island. LIADV is a leading nonprofit dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence through advocacy, emergency housing, counseling, and prevention programs.

“CIBS W is proud to support Long Island Against Domestic Violence and the vital work they do every day,” said Julia Lee, CIBS W committee member and a tax certiorari attorney at Forchelli Deegan Terrana LLP. “This contribution is a direct result of our members coming together to give back during the holiday season, and we’re grateful to be able to support an organization making such a meaningful impact in our community.”

“We are thankful to CIBS W for their generosity and partnership,” said Jennifer Capezza of Long Island Against Domestic Violence. “Support like this helps us continue providing essential services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence throughout Long Island.”

The donation was presented during a group gathering following the Friendsgiving event, with members of CIBS W and CIBS in attendance. Through initiatives like this, CIBS W continues to combine networking, professional development, and philanthropy to strengthen both the commercial real estate industry and the communities it serves.
