Hotel Corduroy opens in Montauk

A new boutique hotel has just opened in Montauk.

The new 29-room Hotel Corduroy is located at 540 W. Lake Drive.

Originally built in 1983, the retreat formerly known as the Sunset Montauk has undergone an extreme makeover. Its owner, Blue Flag Capital, teamed with interior design firm Ward + Gray to reflect the area’s surfing heritage and laid-back creative spirit.

The Lawn, at the center of the three-building property, is a relaxed gathering space with lounge seating, yard games, firepit and sunset views over the bay.

Hotel Corduroy is situated just steps from Sunset Beach and the marina, and offers beach gear, bikes, and access to a private beach area for guests.

Owner Blue Flag is the hospitality group behind acclaimed hotels including Faraway Martha’s Vineyard and The Beachside. Hotel Corduroy marks the brand’s first boutique outside of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket, expanding their coastal footprint to Long Island’s East End.
