Annual Long Island Insurance Community gala raises over $260,000 for charity

Over 300 guests attended the 30th annual Long Island Insurance Community (LIIC) gala at Oheka Castle in Huntington on Thursday, September 17, raising over $260,000 to benefit United Way of Long Island and United Veterans Beacon House. 

According to the organization, the gala “honors industry and business leaders whose commitment to the community has significantly improved the quality of life for their neighbors.” This year, the gala’s distinguished honoree was Tracey Ant, head of Middle and Large Business at The Hartford, which was the presenting sponsor of the event.

Other sponsors for the gala included EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, Alliant, HUB International, Hudson Valley Agency Alliance, Philadelphia Insurance Companies, SterlingRisk, Affiliated Agency, CNA, Gallagher, NFP, Risk Placement Services, Travelers, and USI.

Since 1995, the LIIC has contributed more than $7 million to local nonprofit organizations.
