Merrick Library opens a full-service coffee bar

The Merrick Library has opened a full-service coffee bar.

The counter replaced the library’s vending machines earlier this month. Gina Noto, who spent eight years at Massapequa Perk, runs it as the library’s sole barista.

Signature drinks include a creme brulee latte, a white mocha raspberry cream cold brew, a brown sugar honey cortado and a cookie butter cold foam. The bar also pours cold brews, iced lattes and matcha drinks, along with refreshers, lemonades and hot chocolate.

The coffee comes from Flux Coffee in Farmingdale and the tea from SerendipiTea in Manhasset.

The coffee bar is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on weekends.
