SANYS U is a leadership course, founded and led by people with developmental disabilities.

The show begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at Amityville Music Hall, located at 198 Broadway in Amityville.

The event will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 25 at 97 Main St. in Stony Brook. 

The gathering featured alumni authors of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children’s literature and screenplays.

The family friendly event takes place on Saturday, October 17 and Sunday, October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Ava Nat Milone, a singer from Garden City, landed a spot on Niall Horan’s team.

Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Metro celebrated the grand opening of its newly renovated third-floor lounge.

More than 300 people attended the Inaugural LIM Book Fair last month.

The Melville-based breast health education charity was chosen as the grand prize winner of a drawing for $10,000.

The money supported Mental Health Support for Veterans and Women’s Postpartum Depression program.

The event, slated for 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, will feature entertainment, music, food and games.

The remodeling was awarded through the national Creative Teachers Sweepstakes, sponsored by Walmart and Crayola.

The event featured works ranging from Lego sculptures and hand-built clay pieces to sand art, 3-D paper designs, and detailed freehand character drawings.

Every facet of the production, including choreography, costumes, set design and stage management will be led by a neurodiverse cast and crew.

The program awards one small business each from Nassau and Suffolk counties a $25,000 grant and a $5,000 television advertising campaign from Optimum Media.

The event takes place on Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brookhaven Town Hall in Farmingville.

The event will be held at Tanner Park in Copiague on Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
