Long Island Authors Group opens Bay Shore bookstore

The Long Island Authors Group, an organization of published authors who work to promote the Long Island writing community, has opened a bookstore at the Westfield South Shore mall in Bay Shore.

The bookstore, the first permanent location for the authors group and the only bookstore at the mall, features more than 170 titles written by Long Island-based authors.

The bookstore is located within the mall’s Islip Arts Council Gallery space.

Shoppers can browse the variety of subjects, age ranges and genres available for purchase from 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
