The House Beer Built campaign to support affordable homes

Habitat for Humanity of Long Island is partnering with local craft breweries, bars and distilleries to raise funds to build more affordable homes on Long Island.

The goal of “The House Beer Built” fundraising campaign is to sell up to 1,000 Craft Brew & Spirits Tour Cards at $50 each (a $200+ value), which can be redeemed at more than 20 local breweries and bars throughout 2023. The card entitles the user to one free beer or drink at each participating partner.

Partners include Bluepoint Brewery, Bellport Brewing Company, Destination Unknown, Freedom Brewery, Peconic County Brewing, The Tap Room, Twin Forks, Village Idiot and many more. All net proceeds from the sale of each card will help Habitat’s mission to bring communities together to help families build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter.

Next summer, all the funds that are raised will be used toward building a new affordable home for a deserving family. Representatives from each of the partnering establishments will join Habitat Long Island staff and volunteers to raise the walls on this new affordable home.

The Craft Brew & Spirits cards can be purchased online at HabtitaLINY.org or at Long Island ReStore at 2111 Lakeland Ave. in Ronkonkoma.
