Tacombi opens first Long Island location

Fans of authentic Mexican food will be pleased that Tacombi has just opened its first location on Long Island.

The popular chain just opened a 3,800-square-foot restaurant in the Westbury Plaza at 1266 Old Country Road in Westbury.

Tacombi is known for its authentic tacos, cocktails, and ice-cold beer. Its lively neighborhood taquerias are places for people to connect and share in the tradition of Mexican taco culture.

The restaurant’s popular menu items include Corn Esquites, Baja Crispy Fish Tacos, Tacos de Birria, and Gringa Quesadillas with Mexico City style Al Pastor roasted pork.

With each new restaurant opening, the taqueria participates in growing the impact of The Tacombi Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to advance Mexican communities through education and food accessibility. As part of the foundation, The Tacombi Community Kitchen provides food for people in need by donating thousands of quality and reliable Mexican meals prepared in the kitchens of Tacombi taquerias.

With its opening in Westbury, The Tacombi Community Kitchen will begin working with Saint Brigid Church and Island Harvest.

Founded in 2006 as a taco-serving bus on the sands of the Yucatán, Tacombi now operates 16 taquerias across the New York City metro area, Miami and the greater Washington, D.C. area.
