Long Island Nets hosting Dance Team auditions

Aspiring dancers can show off their stuff at auditions for the Long Island Nets Dance Team.

The Long Island Nets, the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, will host auditions for its Dance Team ahead of the 2026-27 NBA G League season on Sunday, Aug. 30.

The auditions will be held at the “Yes We Can” Community Center in Westbury. 

The Long Island Nets Dance Team performs hip-hop and jazz routines at home games at Nassau Coliseum and represents the organization at community events across Long Island.   

Auditions are open to dancers ages 18 and older who are able to learn and perform choreography and are available to attend all home games during the 2026-27 NBA G League season. 

Registration opens at 9:30 a.m. All dancers must arrive by 10 a.m. in order to participate. Auditions begin at 10:15 a.m.  

The “Yes We Can” Community Center is located at 141 Garden St. in Westbury.
