LI nonprofit’s cornhole tourney raises over $33K for autism programs

Smithtown-based nonprofit for children and adults with autism and other developmental disabilities Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) raised more than $33,000 at its fourth annual Cornhole Tournament.

The event was held at Pickleball Heaven in Medford on Saturday, March 7.

Families, staff, and supporters gathered to toss bags and raise funds for the organization celebrating its 65th anniversary this May.

“It is a privilege to bring our community together in support of such an extraordinary mission,” said Kim M. Kubasek, CEO of DDI. “With a trusted reputation for providing specialized services, we are dedicated to helping every person we support achieve personal growth—charting every way forward.”

The nonprofit’s annual Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, June 8 at The Muttontown Club.
