Purple Tie fundraising gala to benefit LI Against Domestic Violence
Long Island Against Domestic Violence (LIADV) will be holding its annual fundraising gala on Thursday evening May 7.
Called the Purple Tie Gala, the event will begin at 6 p.m. at The Piermont, located at 494 Fire Island Ave. in Babylon.
This year’s event will also celebrate LIADV’s 50th anniversary. The evening will honor Keri Herzog, assistant district attorney for Suffolk County, who will be receiving the Joanne Sanders Women’s Empowerment Award. The Suffolk County Police Department will also be recognized with the Partners in Public Safety Award.

The Ronkonkoma-based LIADV nonprofit provides services for victims of domestic violence, including counseling, courtroom advocacy, legal assistance, vocational and financial training and more.
