New Barnes & Noble store opening in Commack

Barnes & Noble has announced its new store in Commack will open on Wednesday, August 5.

The new Barnes & Noble will offer more than 10,000 square feet of books, toys, games, magazines, gift items, and more. The Commack store is located in Veterans Memorial Plaza at 58 Veterans Memorial Highway in the former Party City space, near Michaels. 

Barnes & Noble Commack opens at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5 with local author Jen Calonita cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her book, “Isle of Ever.” Author Sarah Beth Durst will also be on hand to sign copies of her newest book “Sea of Charms.” The celebration will also feature costume character Biscuit the Dog, who will host special storytime events throughout the opening weekend.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will earn double stamps on all purchases made between August 5 and August 9 at the Commack location. Everyone who visits the new Commack Barnes & Noble during the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, such as $50 off any NOOK device and 40% off all DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD movies.

“We are very pleased to open this beautiful new Barnes & Noble in Commack, one of two new bookstores we open today,” said James Daunt, CEO of Barnes & Noble. “To return a major bookstore to the Commack community after an absence of two years is a particular cause for celebration.”

Store Manager Melissa Cope, who has been with Barnes & Noble for 6 years said, “As a lover of books my entire life, I’m truly happy to be part of bringing a new Barnes & Noble to the Commack community.”
