Trahanas Hospitality Group launches The Vista at Sunken Meadow

Trahanas Hospitality Group announced this month that it will take over operations of The Pavilion and all concessions at Sunken Meadow State Park in Kings Park on January 1 of next year. 

The Pavilion at Sunken Meadow, known for its beachside setting, will be operated under the new name The Vista at Sunken Meadow.

“We have deep respect for the tradition Lessing’s has built at this incredible location, and we are committed to honoring that legacy while bringing new energy, creativity and hospitality to the venue,” said Elias Trahanas, co-founder of Trahanas Hospitality Group. “The Pavilion has always been a special place for celebrations, and we are excited to build on that history with refreshed spaces, elevated menus and the highly personalized service our team is known for.”

Trahanas Hospitality Group owns and operates The Union, The Lannin, and The General in Eisenhower Park. The group also operates concessions at Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Park under contract with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

The Vista at Sunken Meadow will feature waterfront ceremonies at the water’s edge, an open-air terrace, access to the boardwalk, and a reception hall with floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the Long Island Sound. The main hall accommodates up to 250 guests.

The new operator will continue to host one event at a time, with everything provided in house
