Betty’s Burgers & Ice Cream Bar opens in Merrick

A new casual eatery has opened in Merrick.

The new spot, Betty’s Burgers & Ice Cream Bar, is located at 1960 Bayberry Ave. The space was formerly the home of the Rabbit Hole Bar and Grill.

The menu at Betty’s features several types of smashburgers, including  the Carolina Stack, the Nacho Pepper Hot Stepper, the Garlic Pesto Smash, the Cantina Burger and the Laguna Veggie Burger. Also offered is a Philly cheesesteak, wings, hot dogs, salads and the Betty Bee Sting, fried chicken finished with hot honey and pickles.

Ice cream sundaes on the menu include Candy Craze and Cookies and Dreams, and shakes include Cookies and Cream and Fluffernutter. Customers can also create their own with a variety of toppings.

Betty’s, which has a full bar, opens at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Fridays, at noon on Saturdays and Sundays. It’s closed on Mondays.
