Hundreds turn out for Long Island Nets Summer Fest at Jones Beach
The Long Island Nets hosted their annual Summer Fest at the Field 4 basketball courts at Jones Beach on Saturday, August 15, attracting hundreds of fans who joined the team for a morning of basketball, fitness and community engagement.

Attendees participated in a boardwalk wellness walk, an expanded youth basketball clinic, a beach pilates class and a youth dance clinic where participants learned choreography from the Long Island Nets Dance Team and performed alongside the team. Fans also took part in pop-a-shot and parent-versus-kid basketball contests and met team mascot Dale the Eagle.
The LI Nets will hold auditions for the Long Island Nets Dance Team on Sunday, August 30, with additional community initiatives planned in the lead-up to the team’s return to Nassau Coliseum for the home opener on Friday, November 13.
Summer Fest was presented in partnership with New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation and served as the culmination of the Long Island Nets’ summer-long engagement with communities across Long Island, which has included youth basketball clinics, camps and appearances at local festivals.
