Leasing brisk at new Commack apartments

Despite a brief pause in business caused by the COVID-19 shutdown, leasing activity has picked up at a new over-55 apartment complex in Commack.

Leasing at the Fieldstone at Commack began just two weeks before the shutdown, and now after a slow start, more than a third of its 98 apartments are already spoken for, according to developer Rob DiNoto of TDG Commack, a subsidiary of Woodbury-based Questus Capital.

The $26 million project was built on the nearly 7-acre property at 1126 Jericho Turnpike that was formerly home to the Courtesy Inn motel. The Fieldstone at Commack features a clubhouse, fitness center, community events space, outdoor pool and patio.

Monthly rents range from $2,300 to $3,200 for one- and two-bedroom apartments that are available to renters age 55 and over.
