LIADV’s Paws for a Cause going virtual again

The Paws for a Cause fundraiser that benefits Long Island Against Domestic Violence will be held as an online event once again this year.

Originally scheduled to take place at the Country Fair Entertainment Park in Medford next weekend, Paws for a Cause will be held online at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4.

The move to a virtual event, as was held last year, was made after organizers saw a rise in COVID cases and received feedback from supporters indicating a general unease and concern for their safety, according to an LIADV statement.

Paws for a Cause activities will be tied into the month of October for Domestic Violence Awareness Month. LIADV will feature sponsor partners and vendor supporters on its social media channels, providing bios on participants and presenting its feature video on Nov. 4.

All pets are welcome to enter, $25 for the first pet and $10 for each additional pet. Those that have already registered will receive complimentary entry for what LIADV hopes to be an in-person event in Sept. 2022.
