Free concert to mark Coltrane Home’s 2nd annual ‘A Force For Good’ day

Eight young musicians from across Long Island will perform a Coltrane-inspired repertoire at a free public concert at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library on Saturday, September 13.

The event, which marks The John & Alice Coltrane Home’s second annual ‘A Force For Good’ day, will also feature a performance by the Coltrane Home Ensemble, led by Napoleon Revels-Bey, a member of Long Island Arts Alliance, Jazz Educators Network, Nassau Music Educators Society, Long Island Music Teachers Association, NYSSMA, and Jazz Foundation of America. John Coltrane’s birthday is September 23.

The Half Hollow Hills Community Library is located at 55 Vanderbilt Parkway in Dix Hills. The concert begins at 3 p.m., and admission is free for all. Visit the Half Hollow Hills Community Library’s website at www.hhhlibrary.org/ for more information.
