Maple Family Centers pledges $250K to support veterans home

Maple Family Centers pledged $250,000 over the next five years to support the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH) Endowed Fund for Excellence.

Maple Family Centers and its owners the LaSpina family, who are long-time supporters of LISVH, were recognized for their contributions during a Veterans Day Ceremony at LISVH on Friday, Nov. 7.

The endowment fund was established in 2024 to allow the Veterans Home the flexibility to provide state-of-the-art services to deserving veterans. Located on the campus of Stony Brook University and part of Stony Brook Medicine, LISVH provides short-term rehabilitation, traditional long-term care, Alzheimer’s/dementia care and end-of-life palliative care for veterans.
