Island Hopping

The blood drive takes place on Jan. 6 from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The group made stops at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore and Stony Brook Children’s Hospital in Stony Brook.

The free laptops and backpacks were courtesy of AT&T and Morrison Mentors.

The event is hosted by Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty real estate advisors Laura Zambratto and Lauren Koke.

The turkeys were given to families from the Westbury and New Cassel communities.

The festive night of fun, community and giving was filled with lively musical bingo.

The breakfast will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 9 a.m. until noon.

The celebration is slated for the weekend after Thanksgiving, Saturday, Nov. 30 and Sunday, Dec. 1.

The Town of Huntington recently unveiled six new pickleball courts and an ADA-compliant playground at Otsego Park in Dix Hills.

The $100,000 grant will go towards the construction a new dog park at Stillwell Park.

The traveling art exhibition showcases the talents of individuals on Long Island and the surrounding area living with various physical and cognitive challenges.

About four tons of shells were transported by town aquaculturists to a curing facility.

The show took place at the historic Meadow Edge Greenhouse on the grounds of the West Sayville Golf Course.

The money went to Commack Volunteer Fire and Ambulance department, a scholarship for Commack High School students and a donation to support suicide prevention. 

The event drew over 60 vendors and a strong show of support from local officials and the community.

The seasonal event runs from Friday, October 4, through Sunday, November 3.

The event will be held at the Suffolk Y JCC in Commack on Sunday, October 6.

“The Power of Food: An Evening Benefiting East End Food,” takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26.
