Registration opens for Nassau Summer program for kids

The 2022 Nassau County Summer Recreation Program is now open for registration.

This year’s five-week program has been expanded to three locations and aims to provide a fun, safe, activity-filled summer camp experience for Nassau residents ages 5 to 12.

The summer program, administered by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums, runs from June 27 to August 4 at Cantiague Park in Hicksville, Nickerson Beach Park in Lido Beach, and Wantagh Park.

Each program day starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:00 p.m. Camper activities include 45 minutes per day of open pool swimming, arts & crafts, tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf and field sports such as soccer, flag football and baseball. 

The cost of the summer program is $1,200 per child, with a sibling discount of $50 off for additional children in the same family. The registration deadline is May 26.
