Asian American Festival to kick off in Port Washington
The Asian American Festival, hosted by the Town of North Hempstead, will take place this weekend in Port Washington.
The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at North Hempstead Beach Park.
The celebration of Asian culture will feature live entertainment, food from local restaurants and many cultural activities. There will also be a pop-up market with food representing the countries of Afghanistan, China, India, Japan, Korea, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Sponsors include WAC Lighting and Northwell Health.
The event is free, however there is a $10 parking fee at North Hempstead Beach Park, located at 175 West Shore Road.
