Wild Fork will open first locations on Long Island

Wild Fork Foods is coming to Long Island.

The chain of food markets is planning to open three stores in its move to Long Island. The Florida-based company has secured space in Lake Grove, Plainview and West Hempstead, according to published reports.

Wild Fork specializes in frozen meat and seafood, but also offers fruits, vegetables and prepared foods. The chain will open a store in the Smith Haven Plaza shopping center at 2075 Moriches Road in Lake Grove, another in Woodbury Plaza at 409 S. Oyster Bay Road in Plainview, and a third location in Nassau Plaza at 603 Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead.

A retail subsidiary of food processing firm JBS USA, Wild Fork opened its first stores in 2018 and now has 38 stores in Florida, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and California. It’s expected the chain’s Long Island stores will be open by year’s end.
