The 13th annual All Kids Fair returns to Westbury

The 13th annual All Kids Fair will return to Samanea New York Mall in Westbury on Sunday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., marking its third consecutive year at the venue.

Over 80 kid-centered exhibitors will be featured at this year’s event, along with some new additions for 2024, including pickleball, mixed martial arts, a Ninja Warrior obstacle course, and a “Be a Biker for a Day” exhibit, where children can touch, sit on, and take photos with different motorcycles, and even socialize with real “bikers” from nonprofit Bikers Against Child Abuse.

Many attractions from previous year’s events will also be returning, one of which is The Saber Guild – Endor Temple, a Lucasfilm and Disney-recognized costume and choreography group that raises money for various charities. They will be bringing back “Padawan Training Institute: Use the Force and Wield a Lightsaber,” a Jedi-themed class that was a favorite of attendees.

“We were so thrilled to be part of this event! The kids were great, and we loved seeing them smile,” Heather Butterworth of Saber Guild, said in a written statement.

Face painting, balloon animals, cotton candy, sensory play stations, arts and crafts activities, a mobile STEAM lab bus and a game truck round out the extensive offerings of this year’s fair.

Organized by Specialty Connections, the All Kids Fair showcases services such as schools, camps, after-school activities, places for kids to play, kid-friendly products, and health/wellness products and services.

Barbara Kaplan, director of the expo, praised the venue for accommodating the event, which brought a crowd of about 3,200 last year.

“Samanea Mall is a wonderful venue for us because of its spacious layout, high ceilings, and excellent parking,” she said in the statement. “We are excited to have our event there for the third consecutive year. We will be able to have many draws for Long Island families to enjoy together.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable, easy-to-prepare, easy-to-heat, single-serve, and healthy food for donations to Agape Meals for Kids, a local nonprofit organization that provides weekend meals to children living with food insecurity on Long Island. Raffle tickets will be made available to those who donate food or money.

Samanea New York mall is located at 1504 Old Country Road in Westbury. Tickets for the All Kids Fair are $10 for children ages 2 and up if purchased at the door ($5 if purchased online), and $5 for adults. Children 1 and younger are admitted at no charge.
