John’s Crazy Socks hosts Christmas in July celebration
John’s Crazy Socks, located at 328A Main St. in Huntington Village, will host a two-day Christmas in July celebration on Friday, July 24, and Saturday, July 25.
The free, family-friendly events are expected to draw families and shoppers into the village over both days, a boost during the traditionally slower summer season for many local retailers.
Santa Story Time, a Christmas carol sing-along from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 24, will feature giveaways, games, and cookies, along with a visit from a summer Santa.
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, there will be photos with Santa, a snowball fight, and holiday games and surprises throughout the morning.
Both events are free and open to the public, with John Cronin, the company’s co-founder and chief happiness officer, on hand to greet visitors throughout the celebration.
“Huntington Village is our home, and a big part of why we opened a store here was to be part of this community, not just occupy a storefront in it,” said Mark X. Cronin, co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks. “We’d love for our neighbors on Main Street to share this with their customers, stop by themselves, or just know why there might be snow — sort of — on Main Street in July.”
