Pumpkin Park returns to Adventureland to benefit nonprofits

Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation will be sponsoring the annual Pumpkin Park event from 11a.m. to 5 p.m. on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31.

Families can enjoy some of Adventureland’s most popular attractions, including the Turbulence Coaster, Music Express, and Ferris Wheel, before making their way down the fan-favorite Sweet Street for an unforgettable trick-or-treating experience. Pumpkin Park is included with park admission, and children are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween costumes.

“The annual Pumpkin Park event is one of our favorite ways to end the season – trick or treating & thrilling rides… there’s no better combination,” said Jeanine Pacella, Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation spokeswoman. “It’s the perfect fall event and great for the whole family! We absolutely love seeing all the guests dressed in their Halloween costumes as they enjoy a perfect fall day around the park. Pumpkins, hay bales, and corn stalks give the park that fall glow we all know and love.”

Local Long Island nonprofit organizations will line Sweet Street, handing out Halloween candy, treats, and goodies. Each nonprofit joining in on Pumpkin Park will receive a $1,000 donation from Adventureland’s Helping Hands Foundation to help support their goals and mission.

“The Marty Lyons Foundation is a proud partner of Adventureland Helping Hands Foundation as they have been extremely hands-on with our mission and have provided enhanced experiences for our wish kids,” said Marty Lyons Foundation Executive Director Sandra White. “We look forward to being a part of the Pumpkin Park experience and sharing a special day with the local community.”
