Long Island Nets holding free basketball clinic, health seminar

The Long Island Nets are holding a free basketball clinic and health seminar in Hicksville on Sunday, Dec. 15.

The event, presented in partnership with the Nassau County Police Athletic League and the Town of Oyster Bay, takes place from noon to 2 p.m. at the town’s Hicksville Athletic Center at 167 Broadway.

The Long Island Nets Basketball Clinic and Health Seminar is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of basketball in a structured clinic setting, as well as help educate the kids in attendance about important health issues.

In addition to the skills clinic, an anti-vaping seminar will be hosted by the Nassau County Police Department Community Affairs Unit, and a Concussion Awareness seminar will be hosted by doctors from Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital.

All those in attendance will also receive a free ticket to a future Long Island Nets game.
