Local foodies will soon have two new eateries to explore as Samanea New York in Westbury, formerly known as the Source Mall, expands its restaurant row.

K-Pot, a Korean BBQ and hot pot restaurant will open its first Long Island location this spring in a nearly 7,000-square-foot space at the mall on Old Country Road.

In addition, Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood & Bar, which already has a location in Hicksville, will open a 5,500-square-foot restaurant at the Samanea New York complex around the same time.

The rapidly expanding Hook & Reel chain is also planning new locations at the Westfield South Shore Mall in Bay Shore and at the Green Acres Mall in Valley Stream.

Samanea New York is in the midst of a major renovation “that will bring international manufacturers and global brands to Long Island while presenting traditional retail, outstanding dining and vibrant entertainment venues,” according to its marketing director David Ackerman.
