The Town of Huntington and its newly established Children with Special Needs Committee announced the inaugural All Abilities Expo, a free and inclusive community event celebrating individuals of all abilities, to be held on Sunday, June 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heckscher Park in Huntington.

Therapy dogs, interactive exhibits, access to community resources, and a variety of inclusive games and activities will be featured, along with live entertainment by Kool Spectrum, several sensory-friendly experiences, food trucks, and special appearances from Canine Companions and DogAbility.

A special speaking program will take place at 11 a.m. featuring remarks from local elected officials and community leaders who champion accessibility and inclusion in Huntington.

“This event represents our commitment to ensuring every resident—regardless of ability—feels supported, valued, and empowered,” said Councilwoman Theresa Mari, who led the creation of the Children with Special Needs Committee. “We invite families, advocates, professionals, and residents to join us for a day of learning, connection, and celebration.”

Admission is free and open to all. Sponsors of the All Abilities Expo include Contour Mortgage, Countyline Hardware, Two Brothers Printing, Michael L.
