World Jump Day takes flight at Urban Air Lake Grove
Hundreds of kids on Sunday celebrated World Jump Day at Urban Air Lake Grove, the 50,000-square-foot indoor adventure park known for its rock-climbing walls, zip-lines and wall-to-wall trampolines.
The park features various attractions for young thrill-seekers, including a high ropes obstacle course, mini-go karts, bumper cars and Urban Air’s exclusive Urban Warrior Course and Battle Beam.
“We love getting kids out from behind their screens and moving,” said Keith Handler, co-founder of Urban Air Lake Grove. “World Jump Day is the perfect excuse to bounce, climb, race, and play, all while celebrating movement, laughter and just being a kid.”
Guests also received free T-shirts and other Urban Air Lake Grove merchandise throughout the day, and one lucky family won a free deluxe birthday party valued at more than $450.
Celebrated each year on July 20, World Jump Day was first created in 2006, inspired by the whimsical idea that if enough people on the planet jumped simultaneously, it could alter Earth’s orbit and help combat global warming.
