48 local artists showcased at Art Appreciation Month event in St. James
Celebrate St. James showcased 48 local artists during its Art Appreciation Month event, held at the historic Deepwells Farmhouse Friday, August 15 through Sunday, August 17.
Visitors at the free event enjoyed a display of artistry across multiple mediums. Guests visiting the Celebrate St. James main parlor were also treated to live music from Lou Mazzaferro and Dr. Guy Lodico.
In-house artists Sandra Ciraolo and Arielle Dugue hosted interactive arts and crafts stations for children, while young volunteers Angelina, Michelle, Eddie, and Madison assisted with setup and breakdown
“This event was proof that when we work together, magic happens,” said Tami Vitebski, program director of Celebrate St. James.“We are proud to celebrate the creativity of our local artists while strengthening the bonds of our community.”
The nonprofit will host its Annual Gala Fundraiser on Wednesday, October 15 at Flowerfield Celebrations in St. James, with proceeds dedicated to the continued restoration of the town’s historic theater. The organization is currently seeking sponsorships and invites guests to attend and support their mission.
