Dress for Success gets women’s attire donation from Dime bank outreach group

Dress for Success Brookhaven received a generous donation of professional women’s attire from the ‘Wonder Women of Dime’, the Women’s Affinity Group at Dime Community Bank (DCB) on Wednesday, August 6.

“We are very grateful for this wonderful donation from Dime Community Bank, and for all the support Dress for Success Brookhaven receives from kind-hearted residents and local businesses,” said Brookhaven Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico. “Without these donations, this vital program would not be able to flourish or fulfill its mission of helping unemployed and underemployed women achieve economic independence.”

Dress for Success Brookhaven provides professional clothing, a network of support, and career development tools to women, supporting their economic independence. Since it began collecting clothing in 1999, Dress for Success Brookhaven has helped over 6,000 women work toward self-sufficiency.

Donations of new and gently used women’s business attire and accessories, such as handbags, scarves and jewelry can be dropped off at Brookhaven Town Hall, located at 1 Independence Hill in Farmingville on Mondays between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
