Henry Schein CEO honored by Hispanic Counseling Center

Stanley Bergman, chairman and CEO of Melville-based Henry Schein, was recently honored by the Hispanic Counseling Center.

Bergman earned the recognition for his longstanding dedication to the company and his leadership in guiding a purpose-driven organization that is deeply committed to giving back to the communities it serves, according to a written statement.

Bergman accepted the award at a ceremony hosted by HCC on Sept. 25 at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Henry Schein, a leading distributor of medical and dental supplies, has supported the organization through various initiatives such as the company’s “Back to School” program, where Team Schein members pack backpacks full of school supplies and oral hygiene kits, helping underserved children start the school year with confidence.

“This honor truly belongs to all of Team Schein. Our culture emphasizes that each person is as important as the next, and our Company values giving back as much as it values growth,” said Bergman. “Our work with HCC is a testament to our belief that a strong business is built on strong community ties. We live and work on Long Island, and we are committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

HCC’s mission is to enhance the strengths of Long Island families and children through bilingual, bicultural counseling, prevention, vocational, and educational services to enrich their lives, foster academic independence, and nurture dreams for the generations to come.

“Mr. Bergman is a true leader who has demonstrated that corporate success and corporate citizenship can go hand in hand,” said HCC Board President Yesenia Galeas-Vasquez. “His vision has not only driven Henry Schein forward but has also created a lasting, positive impact on Long Island, particularly through their unwavering support for organizations such as HCC.”
