Local trade organization hits the links, raises $100K for Tunnel to Towers

The Plumbing Contractors Association of Long Island (PCALI) raised $100,000 at its 29th Annual Golf Outing last month at the Colonial Springs Golf Club in Farmingdale to benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports 9/11 first responders and their families.

The funds will directly support the foundation’s initiatives, which include providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and fallen first responders with young children, as well as constructing specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.

“Thank you to our members and supporters for their generosity and joining us for a day of golf and friendship,” said Jeff Connelly, president of PCALI. “For the second year in a row it is an honor to support an organization doing such meaningful work for our nation’s heroes and their families.”
